We build chipping and practice greens the same way we build our tour-style putting greens: on a precisely engineered base that takes wedge shots without scarring, holds its shape, and drains instantly after Bay Area rain. The fringe is built to grab and release like real turf, so your chip-and-run shots behave the way they should.

A putting green is built for putting; a chipping/practice green adds a durable landing surface, fringe, and target zones so you can also chip and pitch full wedge shots into it.
Will chipping damage the turf?+
No — we use a heavier-duty turf and base spec in landing zones specifically engineered to take repeated wedge shots.
